First, I finished this little guy and he is off traveling down the highway towards his new home in Nashville!
Bonus daughter, Tanya likes Gnomes and this one was supposed to be ready for Christmas but better late than never!
He is seriously adorable.
I have been feeling flat this year, not much interested in anything.
Pretty sure it's Seasonal Affective stuff but now that Spring is definitely on the way I am feeling better.
I know how to get myself out of the slump so everyday now I have to do one thing for me, one thing for the house and one thing creative. Usually, that one thing turns into more than one and soon enough I'm back.
Speaking of being back, Quinn is back.
She lost and additional 7 ounces in two weeks but eating was rather rough. I had a brain flash that reminded me that she had been on grain-free, limited ingredient dog food so I headed to the pet store for some! I managed to find some that was 4% fat like Science Diet (which she won't eat) and brought it back. Two days into it and she is her normal self! She even gets excited when I come home now!
She is still on medication and will always be but at least she is stable-for now.
Spring has come early!
Evidence:
Daffodils are up! So are the tulips! No blooms yet but soon.
Even my lilac bush is budded out green.
I'll get back to blogging, both writing and reading now I think!
Good to read that Miss Quinn is feeling better and enjoying her Tucker again. That’s one cute as a button gnome. The heat and humidity here are an energy sapper and surely autumn will be here soon. The summer has been rather unkind to the hydrangeas.
ReplyDeleteGreat little gnome. Always cheering to see the first bulbs shooting, they will be flowering before you know it. xx
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like spring in the air to put us in a good mood. We are seeing little spots of green, too, and it's hard to not get in the car and head to the garden center!
ReplyDeleteYour gnome is adorable, bonus daughter is very lucky. Can you share pattern details please? Good news that Quinn is improving.
ReplyDeletevery cute gnome....i second the SAD....been feeling melancholy since before christmas...our daffs are up about 4" so icky, dreary, gray, dull weather surely on the wane....that'll help a lot i do believe
ReplyDeleteI’m so pleased to hear that you are both perking up. Your little gnome is gorgeous. She will love it. Isn’t it exciting to see those first shoots appear.
ReplyDeleteLove your gnome, so cute. Nice to see your daffs are coming up. I hope mine do when it is spring time again here. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the gnome, so cute. Nice to see your daffodils starting to sprout. I hope mine do when spring comes around again.
ReplyDeleteVery nice cross stitch - gnome is a cutie.
ReplyDeleteSorry you have been in a slump. I have been wondering about you and was happy to see a couple of posts that I hadn't seen yet. It is so good that Quinn is feeling better too.
I love seeing signs of spring. The bulbs showing renewed life above the ground always makes me smile. Here, grass is just starting to green up again in between an occasional snow fall lol.
