One of my favorite summer meals.
Ripe tomatoes, basil and fresh mozzarella with olive oil, balsamic oil, and salt. Quick, easy and oh so tasty!
The entire United States is HOT and here we can add HUMID! Excessive heat advisories for the foreseeable future. Actual temperatures in the 90F/35C range. One night at midnight it was still above 80 and 90% humidity!
I have taken shelter in the studio where it is cooler that anywhere else. Basements are like that. I even brought my laptop down.
Since I'm here I've been doing a bit of work, mostly ironing of fabric to be stored. I've made a big dent in it!
Also, in the news: the new appliances are here and in place and working divinely. The dishwasher is so quiet I can stand next to it when it's running and I can't hear it! (Even when I have my hearing aids in!) The stove is believe it or not BLUETOOTH! Haven't set that up yet.
I have ordered the new cabinets! They will likely be in within the next week and I will put them together. Plus I have to build a 2x4 frame for the base and toe kick. The painting has been finished and the frig is back in place. The only thing left is getting a counter top for them. Which I'll try to do tomorrow.
Still going to therapy, struggling with muscle pain.
39 days until I leave for Iceland!
